Born and raised to a blue collar family, Grayson was the first in his family to graduate from college. He currently lives in Afton, Minnesota, and serves as the First Officer for the St. Croix River Company; a small family business owned and operated here in Afton. He is in the process of obtaining his 100 ton masters license, to serve as one of the new Captains for the company.
Grayson has experience in the legislative process having worked for the New House Republican Caucus as a Legislative Aide. This was a breakaway group from our fractured 2 party system that advocated for more transparency and accountability in government. They were instrumental in passing legislation, with the help of the DFL, that banned legislators from serving jointly as lobbyists while they serve the people. He has worked in Minnesota since 2018 on numerous campaigns, and has actively been involved in state politics since 2020.
After spending only a minute on the St. Croix river one quickly understands why it is one of the buzziest rivers in the country for personal watercraft. From the beautiful bluffs in Afton to the picturesque beaches on Lake St Croix you could lose an entire day in the blink of an eye. After leaving politics in 2022, Grayson went back to his roots. Coming from a long line merchant mariners, and having spent most of his time in college sailing the east coast, and Caribbean he decided to make this valley home, and the river his new office
Grayson is a small business owner who founded The Remnant Consulting in 2020 as a response to the government's drastic abuse of powers. Their goal is to work with Liberty champions and help them get into elected office. The Remnant made over 50,000 phone calls across Minnesota, which helped bring an end to mask mandates. Additionally we knocked over 20,000 doors in the 2022 election cycle across the state for Republican endorsed candidates.
Before starting the Remnant, Grayson worked at Young Americans for Liberty as their Senior Election Director. In that role, he successfully helped pivot from door-to-door operations to build and execute an award-winning call campaign in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He staffed a field team of over 100 young activists across the country - calling in over 50 different State House districts across 20 states. The team successfully made 1.7 million calls and elected over 30 state representatives in ONE cycle. His work was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the success seen in Virginia and New Hampshire in 2020 and 2021.
Grayson graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a B.A in Political Science and American History. Grayson started early, and began his political career in 2014 at the age of 15 knocking doors in the Gubernatorial election. During his time in Maryland, he worked closely with the Maryland Republican Party and within the General Assembly to help elect the first Republican Governor in Maryland since 2003, and the first Republican Governor to win re-election in Maryland since 1950.
He was also appointed by Governor Larry Hogan to serve on the Juvenile Grant Planning and Review Council. A state board that aimed to keep youth out of the prison pipeline. To do this the program funded amazing organizations like Living Classrooms, which teaches vulnerable kids valuable trade skills they can use for a lifetime.
Since then Grayson hasn’t been able to escape politics. He realized the Government has infiltrated almost every aspect of our lives, and not for the better. They exist to keep us under the thumb of the state. Grayson believes we need to be allowed to make our choices. From choosing what type of education your child has, to what chemicals you inject into your body, the government shouldn’t be involved in the conversation.
